For whatever reason, I really don't want to like Jack Cafferty. Maybe he's just too old and crochety for my "Pepsi Generation" style (I just read Leonard v. Pepsico, if you can't tell), but the man speaks the truth.
Everybody knew what was going to happen to House Majority Tom DeLay (R-Tex.), even back in the spring when I worked as a bottom level hack for Unnamed Media Firm. Still, the fact that he said this on TV a week before the fact was treated like some sort of breach of D.C/N.Y. mediasphere comity.
The unspoken truth here is that it wouldn't be so surprising if Sean Hannity said the same thing a week before a Democrat ended up in the same sort of trouble. Standards are only biased if only one side is expected to stick to them.
