Appleblogging: Michigan Honeycrisp
Fall is here, and with it comes a bewildering variety of apples. I've been eating quite a few recently, so on my most recent supermarket trip, I bought as many different kinds as I could. Today, I had a Michigan Honeycrisp.

It's a big one, but not too dense. In fact, it makes a sound like knocking on a flimsy balsawood door when you tap it with a fingernail.
The texture is very, very juicy, with the appearance that the flesh can barely keep the liquid in. It really does taste like honey and is probably the sweetest apple I've ever had (and I've had quite a few apples). I'd imagine that a Honeycrisp would be very nice in a desert dish, or perhaps in some yogurt to balance out the sourness.
