It took me less time to get from O'Hare to LaGuardia than it did to get from LaGuardia to home, thanks to a transit strike. In what is probably a Smorgasblog first, I wrote about it for LFTTR in a (barely) moving vehicle, thanks to the kind WiFi users of Long Island City.
Then we moved 20 feet and I lost the signal, so I wrote the follow-up at home.
This should be a fun week - I think I'll be calling some neighborhood friends and hanging out at some neighborhood joints rather than going to the West Side or Downtown for some more youth-oriented fun. I should note that I grew up in what is now the elderly side of town. If you replace the cabs with golf carts, it's basically Del Boca Vista Del Norte.
