The world records people should investigate

I hate to complain so much, but I think that the Guiness people should really look into re-examining the Brickskeller's award for serving the largest number of beers. Every time I go there it gets worse, and this time was no exception. I had to go through five selections before they actually had something. If it weren't for the fact that the service is so good, I'd write them a letter.

Good service at the Brickskeller?!? That's certainly newsworthy. This place started going downhill at least 3 years ago, and since every trip there was worse and worse (less of their advertised beers there, service slower and slower, food (never great to begin with) becoming inedible), I can't bother.

And I guess I fully expect that your service comment was sarcastic, hard to say over the internets (especially since I'll allow, if you're in the know or since the passage of time, things do change._

No, the service we had was excellent.

And they're serving the German beers with the wrong damn glasses.

To serve a Weizen (wheat beer) the Bavarian way, pour it (9/10ths along the side of the glass, then reserve the last bit for head), then pitch in a grain of uncooked rice to better aerate it. The Gasthaus I live over has a tiny rice dish by the taps, and if my landlady thinks my Weizen looks a bit flat, she'll drop another grain in my glass if I set it down for more than a few seconds.
