I thought that I wanted to have at least one amusing or quirky interviewer, if only to have an experience worth blogging about. Today, I got one. The firm is large nationally, but has a very small office in New York, where I'm applying. I asked about how the culture compares to that of the national firm, and he said, "They're on probation. We're still deciding whether to keep them on or cast them off." Normally, I'd escalate, playing along and adding to the fun, but this was an interview and I felt like I needed a serious answer. Silence for a second, then he said he was kidding.
Duh!
Work/Life Balance. Finally watched Carlito's Way with the roomies last night. Good flick, even if the arc is very familiar.
