The interviewer was a litle more than a year out of law school and perhaps a little too bubbly for someone who is in hour 5 of 8 hours in a stuffy little room. An alum of my law school, she had many of the same professors, so we got along very well. This was perhaps my best interview yet.

The fifth food group. I have never had so many mints in my life. The Career Center put them out so as to help us put our best foot forward and all the law firms are giving them out. I just can't help myself.

One of the departments under my Marketing umbrella at my old job was career services. We ran career centers at our society's big conferences, and I always sat there with one of my employees, helping the job seekers and employers. After one day, I said, "I think we need to give away breath mints branded with our job search website." Because let me tell you, the job seekers' breath STANK.

When I left I told her the next promotional item should be deodorant.

Because, wow.

(Good luck.)
