Oh, how I love that New York attitude. I was walking around SoHo this morning when I saw the following message tacked up to the front door of a boutique/furniture store/whatever called "Apartment":

We would sincerely like to wish you

HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Unfortunately, we are not quite capable of that.
We don't really see anything to be joyous about...

...it's 50 degrees out in December
...it's 2007 and we don't have jetpacks
...it's 2007 and we don't have flying cars
...it's 2007 and Bush is still in office
...it's 2007 and I'm still not dating a model.

If you can find something to be happy about (and good luck) then by all means, go crazy.

We support you.

However, the most that our embittered collective heart can muster is:

Jesus H. Christ!

That's the spirit!
