I finally signed on a summer sublet in New York. It's a tiny fourth-floor walkup, but it's only a little bit more than twice what I pay for my share of a spacious luxury pad in Lakeview. It should be fine for three months, especially since I fully anticipate spending most of my non-working waking hours at cocktail parties, Yankees games and whatever other events a big firm organizes to give the most unrealistic view possible of associate life.
