Four months late, Sura Thai Bistro on Broadway looks close to opening. From peeking in the window, the place looks a little like the orbiting space station in 2001: A Space Odyssey, but with better facilities for preparing green curry. Since it's right down the block from Bamee Noodles and a host of other pan-Asian joints with Thai offerings, Lakeview is now reaching Washington-like levels of Thai food saturation. Next thing you know, the El will have carpet and Go-Go will replace house as the local music scene I'm consciously not a part of.
I sure as hell hope Chicago is becoming more like D.C. What a third rate city D.C. is!
