This is the newest addition to my apartment's extensive art collection. It was done by local artist Derek Erdman, who has also painted Eazy-E and other luminaries of the hip-hop world.

I consider this a work of meta-transgressive art. While the portrait itself isn't transgressive, the subject was a transgressive character, redefining what it means to be a successful rapper by eschewing fancy clothes and proper hygiene in favor of a more "dirty" image. Some may argue that this was due to drugs and mental illness, but I'm willing to give Big Baby Jesus the benefit of the doubt.

Big Baby Jesus? I would have guessed Wesley Willis.

Nope, it's Ol' Dirty. WW was fatter and had a permanent bruise on his forehead.

I feel like a complete arse - I did not realize that ODB was Big Baby Jesus. I kept thinking to myself, what an interesting interpretation of Baby Jesus.
I think that I lost my last brain cell during last week's Christmas party. Oy...
